Kitabesindeki bilgiye göre 1748 yılında Erzurum Valisi Yazıcızade Hacı İbrahim Ethem Paşa tarafından inşa ettirilmiştir. Caminin mimarisi kare planlı olup, tek bir kubbesi vardır. Yapımında beyaz renkte mermer taş kullanılmıştır ve mihrabı da mermerden yapılmıştır. Osmanlı mimarisinin tipik örneklerinden biri olan cami, günümüzde de ibadete açıktır.
