Ahmediye Medresesi was commissioned by Ahmet bin Ali bin Yusuf in 1314 during the Ilkhanate period. Ahmediye Medresesi is an example of the covered-courtyard madrasa type of the 13th and 14th century period. The madrasa has a rectangular plan measuring 16.50 x 9.75 meters. There are two madrasa rooms on each side of the courtyard, which is covered with cloister vaults. Ahmediye Medresesi, where the columns placed at the corners of the two iwans opening onto the courtyard are covered with vegetal decorations, shows a great similarity to Yakutiye in this respect. The presence of a mihrab in the iwan opposite the entrance indicates that this structure was also used as a masjid, and the mihrab seen on the north facade wall indicates that there was previously a mosque here.
