This fortress in the city of Artvin is also known as Livane Castle. Its high walls run around the rock on which it stands, and its multi-storey tower has survived in good condition. A four-sided structure on the eastern side is thought to have been a church, and part of the cistern and fragments of qvevri have also survived.
