Anadolu’nun ilk Roma Köprüsü olarak bilinmektedir. Selçuklular, Bizanslılar ve Haçlılar arasındaki savaşlara sahne olan efsanevi kent Misis’in adını taşıyan köprü, Ramazanoğlu Beyliği ve Osmanlı dönemlerinde şiddetli depremlerle tahrip olmuş ama buna rağmen ayakta kalabilmiş eserlerden biridir.
