1 Eylül 1978 tarihinde açılan müze binası Osmanlı dönemi yapısı olup İstiklal Savaşından sonra Yunan Baş Komutanı Trikopis’in esir alındığı yerdir. Başkomutan Trikopis esir olmasına rağmen Atatürk tarafından Türk misafirperverliği ile karşılanmıştır. İki katlı ahşap yapının giriş katında yöresel etnografik malzemeler, eski silahlar, giysiler, takılar ve diğer eserler sergilenmektedir. Üst katın tamamı Atatürk Müzesi olarak düzenlenmiştir. O dönemden kalma aynalar, sehpalar, koltuklar, Atatürk'e ait yatak odası ve yine Atatürk'e ait giysiler bulunmaktadır.
