Bediüzzaman, who came to Tillo in 1890, stayed alone in this dome called Kubbe-i Hasiye and memorized the dictionary named Kamus-u Okyanus up to babu’s-sin (1.155 pages). Meanwhile, he gave the grains of the food brought by his brother Mehmet to the ants and ate his bread by dipping it into its water. To those who asked, “Why are you doing this?” Bediüzzaman replied: “In the social life of ants there is ownership, industriousness, cooperation and conscientiousness. Since I have seen this, I want to help them as a reward for their being republican.”
