Şeyh Muhammed Kazım was born in Siirt in 1906. He completed his primary education at Siirt İptidai Mektebi. Afterwards, he memorized the Qur'an and completed his hifz. After World War I, he continued his education under his father, Şeyh Şerafettin. He learned the science of syntax from Molla Hamit, one of Siirt's famous teachers. It is stated that Şeyh Muhammed Kazım memorized more than 7500 Arabic couplets related to grammar. He passed away in 1996 and was buried in Siirt.
