This fortress is located in the center of Mut, in Mersin. Its original construction date is unknown, and the structure is described as resembling a small garrison, with foundations built of neatly cut stone blocks. It was repaired in the Karamanid and Byzantine periods, and has four bastions, a tower known as the inner castle, and tunnels leading beneath a plane tree.
