Şapçızade and Karaca Mansions, located on Germiyan Sokak and understood from their inscription to have been built in 1912, were restored by Kütahya Municipality and opened as the City History Museum with the Special Museum permit obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In its garden, the production stages of the traditional ancestral art of our Kütahya, which is the center of tile art in the world, are exhibited. On the ground floor of the City History Museum, there are information, documents and photographs belonging to the prehistoric period, Hittite, Phrygian, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Germiyan, Ottoman and the Republic of Turkey.
