Kars çayının dere içi mahallesine akan kısmında Kale içi Mahallesi ile Sukapı Mahallesini ayıran dar boğaz üzerinde M.S. 1579 yılında Osmanlı Padişahı III. Murat’ın emri ile Lala Mustafa Paşa tarafından yaptırılan üç tonoz kemerli olarak yaptırılan köprünün tamamı düzgün kesme bazalt taşından yapılmış olup daha sonra bir kısmı yıkılan köprüyü Karahanoğlu Hacı Ebübekir 1725 yılında yeniden yaptırmıştır.
