Isparta’nın 12 kilometre güneybatısında, il merkezine 8 kilometre mesafede bulunan Gölcük, deniz seviyesinden 1300 metre yükseklikte olan bir krater gölüdür. Gölün etrafı 150-300 metre kadar yükselen ve volkanik küllerle kaplı tepelerle sınırlıdır. Daire şeklindeki gölün çapı 1,5 kilometre derinliği ise 30 metreyi bulmaktadır. Isparta ve yöre halkının günübirlik dinlenme, eğlenme ve spor ihtiyaçlarını karşılayan bir tabiat harikası olarak özelliğini yıllardan beri korumaktadır.
Gölcük 1991 yılında tabiat parkı olarak tescil edilmiştir. Gölcük Tabiat Parkı’nda kızılçam, karaçam, meşe, sedir, akasya, akçakesme ve diğer maki türü bitkiler ile tavşan, tilki, sincap, kaplumbağa, yılan ve çeşitli kuş türleri bulunmaktadır.
