Osmanlı han mimarisi içinde tek avlulu, iki katlı hanlar grubuna girmektedir. İlk tapu kayıtlarındaki isimlere dayanarak 1757-1785 yılları arasında yapıldığı düşünülmektedir. Zemin kattaki mekanlar depo ve ahır, üst katta bulunan odalar ise yolcuların konaklaması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Hanın inşasında siyah ve sarımtırak renkte küfeki kesme taş kullanılmıştır. Hanın giriş katında bir süre taş ocağı olarak kullanılan daha sonraları yeni hanın misafirlerinin hayvanlarına ahırlık yapmış olan Kaleoğlu Mağarası yer alır. Günümüzde restore edilen mağara Kültür Yolu’nun önemli dinlenme ve serinleme mekanı olarak hizmet vermektedir.
