Hanın ne zaman yapıldığı kesin olarak bilinmemekle beraber, 19.yüzyılın başlarında inşa edildiği tahmin edilmektedir. Osmanlı han mimarisi içinde iki avlulu, iki katlı hanlar grubuna girmektedir. Yapı “yolcu hanı” olarak inşa edilmiş olup, zemin katındaki mekânlar depo ve ahır olarak, üst katlarda yer alan odalar ise yolcuların konaklaması amacıyla yapılmıştır.

Oldukça sade inşa edilen han, 1985 yılında Vakıflar Bölge Müdürlüğü tarafından restore edilmiştir. Günümüzde “Halıcılar Çarşısı” olarak kullanılmaktadır.
