Şire Han
Şire Han (Belediye Hanı) is one of the largest caravanserais of both Gaziantep and the surrounding provinces with its area of 7500 square meters. Since products belonging to the Gaziantep region such as grapes, pestil, sucuk, molasses, honey, butter, and pistachios are sold inside the han, it is known by the name Şire Hanı. The han, which bears many features of classical Ottoman han architecture, has a rectangular plan. Its greatest distinguishing feature from other hans is the presence of monumental crown gates on three of its facades.

Şire Han (Belediye Hanı) is one of the largest caravanserais both in Gaziantep and in the surrounding provinces, with an area of 7500 square meters. Since products specific to the Gaziantep region such as grapes, pestil, sucuk, pekmez, honey, butter, and pistachios are sold inside the han, it is known as Şire Hanı. The han, which bears many features of classical Ottoman han architecture, has a rectangular plan. Its most distinctive feature, setting it apart from other hans, is the presence of monumental crown gates on three of its facades. Construction of the han, completed in 1885, took 25 years. It was commissioned by Mustafa Ağa (Say) and is a large caravanserai with three gates. As a result of a fire it suffered in the recent past, the han became unusable, and was later restored in accordance with its original form by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality.
