1997 yılında Eskişehir Şube 13. Şefliği malzeme ambarındaki sobaların boyattırılıp şube bürosunda sergilenmesi, bir müze fikrinin doğmasına neden olur. 1908’de Almanya’ya sipariş edilerek yaptırılan lale motifli bu özel sobaların yanında TCDD 1. Bölge Müdürlüğü ile TÜLOMSAŞ Genel Müdürlüğütarafından temin edilen malzemelerle kurulan müze 1998’de ziyarete açılır. Eskişehir Garı yanındaki iki dönümlük arazi üzerindeki 106 yıllık tarihî binada kurulan müze, sizleri bir tarih yolculuğuna çıkarıyor. Müze bahçesinde motorlu ve elle çalışan drezinler, hemzemin geçit ve bariyerler, buharlı vidanjör, su tankeri, raylar ve lokomotifler bulunuyor.
