He was at one time a judge in Aleppo and Edirne and was also the father of Kadı Bedrettin Şeyhülislam Şemsettin Ahmet Efendi. Kadı Bedreddin, who was the father of Şeyh Çelebi and Şeyhülislam Şemseddin Ahmet Efendi, is also referred to by the names Bedrettin Mahmud, Mahmud bin Abdullah, and Mevtana Bedreddin Mahmud bin Abdullah. This person served as a müderris for a while and was then appointed respectively to the judgeships of Aleppo and Edirne. He died in 1530 during his tenure as judge of Edirne.

This person served as a mudarris for a while, and was then appointed respectively to the judgeships of Aleppo and Edirne. During his tenure as judge of Edirne, he died in 1530. It is located on Talat Paşa Caddesi in the Ayşe Kadın district. It is the first historical mosque when proceeding from the direction of Istanbul toward the center of Edirne. There is a graveyard to its north.
