Asıl adı Semanoğlu Köşkü olan yapı 15. yüzyıl Akkoyunlular tarafından yaptırılmıştır. 1. Dünya Savaş’ında karargâh olarak kullanıldığından 1935 yılında belediye tarafından satın alınıp Gazi Köşkü olarak adlandırılarak Atatürk’e armağan edilmiştir. Mardin Kapısının dışında Dicle Köprüsünün batı yamacındadır. Köşk iki katlı olarak yapılmış, her iki katında birer eyvan ve eyvanların iki yanında mekânlar yer almaktadır. Şuan Atatürk’e ait eşyalar, belgeler ve fotoğraflar sergilenmektedir. Müze olarak kullanılan köşk, Dicle nehri, Hevsel bahçeleri, Kırklar Dağı ve On Gözlü Köprü manzarasıyla görülmeye değer eşsiz güzellikte bir mekândır.
