13 Ekim 1968 yılında hizmete açılan Çorum Müzesi'nin çekirdeğini Alacahöyük, Boğazköy, Ortaköy, Eskiyapar, Pazarlı, Kuşsaray ve Alişar Höyük buluntuları oluşturur. Müzede ayrıca etnografik eserler yer alır.Müzenin koleksiyonu Hellenistik, Roma, Bizans, Hitit Frig, Kalkolitik ve Eski Tunç dönemlerini kapsar. Çorum yöresinin özelliklerini yansıtan halı ve kilimler, kadın giysileri, takı ve süs eşyalarıyla Selçuklu ve Osmanlı dönemlerine ait silahlar, ahşap ve madeni eserler, el yazması dini kitaplardan oluşan etnografik bir koleksiyon da vardır.Müze bahçesinde sergilenen, Hitit Dönemi'ne ait boğa tasvirli çeşme, Roma ve Bizans döneminden heykeller, mezar stelleri ve mil taşlarının yanı sıra Selçuklu ve Osmanlı Dönemi'ne ait kitabe ve mezar taşları da ziyaretçilerin ilgisini çeken eserler arasındadır.
