Although its name is not encountered in the literature, since it shows close similarity to the other Christian religious architecture in the region, the structure was probably built during the Medieval Period in the time of the Bagratlılar. The church, for which it is unknown until what date it continued to function, was not used for any purpose after the Islamization of the region. Today it is in a ruined condition. There is no inscription that has survived to the present day or been recorded. It is located in the meadow to the southeast of the neighborhood consisting of a few houses.
The church, surrounded by trees and almost hidden, is quite small in size and has a free-cross plan. The arms of the cross have a two-sloped roof on the exterior. Above the central space remaining between the arms of the cross, there is a drum with a cylindrical body and a conical cap on top, exaggerated in height relative to the structure. On the axis of each side of the drum body, there are four windows with round arches, narrow, long, and rectangular in form. The interior of the church, whose entrance is from the west, consists of two sections. In the western part there is a space covered with a vault in the east-west direction, and following this comes the main space, namely the naos. The naos, measuring 4.40x4.40 meters, is covered with a dome with pendentive transition and a high drum, seated on the wall piers at the corners with the help of two-stage arches. The arms of the cross at the sides of the naos are kept quite short, and their tops have vault covering.
The most important aspect of the church that should be emphasized is its fresco decorations. In the naos section, various fresco decorations surrounding this place from floor to ceiling are seen. Here, in addition to Saint figures, various scenes with religious subjects selected from the Torah and the Bible are depicted. The decorations, in which brown, blue, green, and yellow colors dominate, have fine workmanship. However, today they are quite ruined.
