Adana Historical Girls’ High School is located on the bank of the Seyhan River on Debboy Avenue in the Seyhan district, south of Taş Köprü. It was built as Askeriye Rüştiye (military secondary school) between 1881‐1883 by Adana Governor Abidin Paşa during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit. In 1885, a high school section was also added and it took the name Adana Mülki İdadi Mektebi. In 1908, the name of the school became Mekteb‐i Sultani, and in 1923 it took the name Adana Lisesi.

Adana Historical Girls’ High School is located in Seyhan district on Debboy Caddesi, on the bank of the Seyhan River, south of Taş Köprü. It was built between 1881‐1883 by Adana Governor Abidin Paşa during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit as Askeriye Rüştiye (military secondary school). In 1885, a high school section was also added and it took the name Adana Mülki İdadi Mektebi. In 1908, the name of the school became Mekteb‐i Sultani, and in 1923 it took the name Adana Lisesi. The school, which served as a boarding Girls’ High School from 1932 to 1998, was restored in 2005 ‐ 2006 and opened to service as a Culture and Arts Center.
