Adana Tarihi Kız Lisesi Seyhan ilçesi Debboy Caddesi’nde Seyhan Nehri kıyısında, Taş Köprü’nün güneyinde yer almaktadır. Sultan Abdülhamit zamanında Adana Valisi Abidin Paşa tarafından 1881‐1883 tarihleri arasında Askeriye Rüştiye (askeri ortaokul) olarak yaptırılmıştır. 1885 yılında lise bölümü de eklenmiş ve Adana Mülki İdadi Mektebi adını almıştır. 1908 yılında okulun adı Mekteb‐i Sultani olmuş, 1923 yılında ise Adana Lisesi adını almıştır. 1932 yılından 1998 yılına kadar yatılı Kız Lisesi olarak hizmet veren okul, 2005 ‐ 2006 yıllarında restore edilerek Kültür ve Sanat Merkezi olarak hizmete açılmıştır.
