İnşasına ilişkin kitabesi bulunmamasına rağmen, XIII. yüzyıl sonlarında İlhanlı Hükümdarları tarafından yaptırılmıştır. Çünkü İlhanlılar'ın Aladağ'ı yazlık ikametgah seçmeleri, Tebriz'den buraya geliş gidişlerde kullanmak üzere köprüyü yaptırdıklarını ortaya koymaktadır. Güneybatı kuzeydoğu yönünde kurulmuş olan köprü iki gözlü, yolunun düz olduğu köprüler grubuna girmektedir. Gözler sivri kemerli birer açıklık şeklinde düzenlenmişlerdir. Köprünün kemer ve duvarlarında iki renkli düzgün kesme taş işçiliği görülmektedir. Aralara onarımlar sırasında moloz taş örgülü duvarlar yapılmıştır.Günümüzde ana yoldan ve yerleşim yerinden uzakta kalmıştır.
