Sultan 11.Beyazıt’ın annesi Gülbahar Hatun adına yaptırdığı camii kayıtlarda “Hatuniye Cami” olarak geçmektedir. Meydan Mahallesi'nde adını aldığı geniş bir alan üzerinde 1485 yılında yaptırılmıştır. Tokat’ta yapılmış en güzel Osmanlı eserlerinden birisidir. Kesme taştan inşa edilmiş, ana mekan üzerinde tek minaresi ve 6 sütundan oluşan 5 kubbeli son cemaat yeri vardır. Meydan Camisi'nin Selçuklu tarzı skalaktitlerle işlenmiş mermer portalı ve künde kari tekniğinde yapılmış ahşap kapı kanatları birer sanat şaheseridir.
