Researchers and mountaineers who will go trekking and climbing in Aladağlar generally enter Aladağlar via Niğde-Çamardı –Çukurbağ village. Those who only want to climb Demirkazık Peak in Aladağlar can also enter Aladağlar from Demirkazık Village. Those who will do the Demirkazık west slope climb and go trekking in Çımbar Valley enter the mountains from Demirkazık Village. Both Çukurbağ and Demirkazık villages are connected to Niğde provincial center by the Çamardı state road. To reach Çukurbağ Village, the Niğde- Çamardı road (65 km.) is used. The road is asphalt.

Passengers using the Niğde-Çamardı buses get off at Çukurbağ Village, located on the highway 6 kilometers before Çamardı. After the necessary preparations are completed here, entry is made into Aladağlar. However, mountaineers who want to make the Demirkazık ascent and some groups of mountaineers who want to rest go on to Demirkazık Village. The distance between Çukurbağ and Demirkazık villages is approximately 5 kilometers. The road is stabilized. In Demirkazık Village, a mountain hotel with 100 beds and central heating is open all year round. Again in the same area, a new hotel (operated by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports) entered service in 2002. This place also has the capacity to meet all kinds of accommodation needs.

According to the natural environment and climate conditions, the most suitable time for trekking and climbing activities in Aladağlar is June, July and August. Researchers and mountaineers who will trek and climb on these mountains for the first time should be prepared to protect themselves from the severe “solar radiation” that is effectively seen throughout the mountainous region. During trekking and climbing, light-colored, cotton clothing is used.

Trekking and climbing to be done in Toros-Aladağlar are generally carried out in four sections. These trekking and climbing activities are programmed respectively as Demirkazık, Yedigöller, Kaldı and Turasan climbs. These trekking and climbing programs can also be carried out in the form of the Kaldı-Turasan, Yedigöller and Demirkazık program from south to north. Mountaineers who will trek and climb in Aladağlar, where steep and high peaks stand side by side, should carry out even their seemingly most insignificant trekking and climbing activities related to this mountainous region and the high peaks located on it in a very serious and careful manner.

In this high mountainous region spread over a wide area, transportation, first aid and rescue activities can be carried out only under very difficult and hard conditions, or cannot be carried out at all. For this reason, behaviors that may cause accidents in the mountains must definitely be avoided.
