Altıncı kilise Bergama (Pergamon) kralı II. Attalos tarafından kurulduğu kabul edilen Philadelpheia’dadır. Bugün Alaşehir olarak tanınan bu antik kent, zamanında Küçük Asya’nın batı bölgeleri ile iç bölgeleri arasında bir geçiş kapısı olarak ticaret dünyasında önemli bir yer edinmiştir. Altı paye (fil ayağı) üzerine kurulan yapıtın bugün sadece üç tanesi ayakta kalabilmiştir. Payelerin 5 metre yüksekliğindeki fresk havari portreleri tahrişler nedeniyle zor görülmektedir. Doğuya düşen paye duvarında Meryem ana önünde ayin yapan bir grubun renkli tablosu da yine tahrişler nedeniyle zor seçilebilmektedir. Kilise günümüzde zaman zaman restore edilerek korunmaya çalışılmaktadır. Kültür Bakanlığı tarafından korumaya alınmıştır.
