The tomb of Kara Ahmed Bey, the grandfather of the famous traveler, scholar, writer and folklorist Kütahyalı Evliya Çelebi, is in Saray Neighborhood, formerly known as Zeryen. In the Evliya Çelebi Seyahatname, while describing his hometown Kütahya, which he visited in 1678, he stated that the grave of his grandfather Kara Ahmed Bey was adjacent to their house in Zeryen Neighborhood.
