The madrasa building was commissioned in 1314 by Umur bin Savcı, one of the Germiyan beys. It is also known as Vacidiye Medresesi. The entrance of the structure, built of cut stone, reflects the characteristics of Seljuk art. In the display cases in the museum, works from the Late Miocene period onward, belonging to the Paleolithic, Chalcolithic, Early Bronze, Hittite, Phrygian, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods, are exhibited.
