Sultan Sazlığı is a wetland area located 70 km. south of our province, in the middle of the Develi Plain, covering an area of 8-13 hectares depending on the seasons. In places there are reeds, kafa otu and kındıra. Toward the center of the area there are so many floating reed islets that they cannot be seen. These change place with strong winds and sink as the water level falls. According to a study conducted, 251 bird species have been recorded. It has been determined that more than 80 of these nest in the area
