Köprünün XV. yüzyılda Dulkadir Beyliği döneminde inşa edildiği düşünülmektedir. Ceyhan Köprüsü günümüze kadar çeşitli onarımlar görmekle beraber orijinal özelliğini korumaktadır. 158 metre uzunluğunda olup sivri kemerli altı adet açıklığa sahiptir. Köprünün üzeri 0.60 ile 1.10 metre arasında değişen moloz taş korkulukla çevrelenmiştir. Köprünün ayaklarında suyun geliş yönünde ikisi sağlam olmak üzere üç adet selyaran bulunmaktadır.
