The inscription is written within a pointed arch at the place where the water flows inside the round arch. The Turkish meaning of the inscription is as follows; “We sent down pure rains from the sky so that many lands in need of water and many of the people We created may be watered.” After the verse, it says that Şeyh Muhiddin Bin Yakup, may Allah honor him, had this fountain built in the year 724 Hijri during the time of Melikü’l–Ümera Dündar Bey, possessor of religion and the world. May Allah honor him.
