Ulu Cami / Cami-i Kebir

Isparta Ulu Camii was commissioned by Ömer bin Ali in H. 680 / A.D. 1282 during the reign of Alaaddin Keykubat, son of Feramuz, one of the Seljuk Sultans. Because the mosque had fallen into disrepair over time, it was repaired in H. 860 / A.D. 1456 during the reign of Fatih Sultan Mehmet. In time, it underwent many more repairs together with its minaret, and its top was covered with zinc after a roof was built over it by the foundations.
