The church located in Çakrak village, connected to Giresun's Alucra District, is 90 kilometres from Giresun and 47 kilometres from Alucra district. Çakrak Church, called the Second Church, which is one of the four churches built in Çakrak Village after the proclamation of the Islahat Fermanı and is at an altitude of 1500 metres, is one of the Greek works in the region. Since it is on the Yağlıdere-Alucra route connecting Giresun to the inland regions, the church and the arch bridge, which attract the attention of citizens using the road, provide information about the past lives of the Greeks in the region. Although there is no inscription or period source providing information about the construction date of the bridge and who had it built, it is understood from similar features such as the use of materials that it was built in the second half of the 19th century.
The structure was built with the masonry construction system, and rubble stone, finely dressed stone, and cut stone were used as materials. It has a basilical structure with a rectangular plan in the east-west direction. The structure, which does not have a narthex section, has a triple semicircular apse. The entrance of the structure is on the west facade. There is a single row of rectangular windows on the north and south facades. There are three windows above the entrance on the west entrance facade and three small window openings in the eastern apse section. All of the exterior walls of the structure have survived to the present day. There is no roof covering in any area except for the upper covering of the apse section.
