It is located in Bağbaşı Village of Tortum district. Also known as the Church of the Virgin Mary, the structure was commissioned by Bagratlı King David III between 976-1001. The structure, which was converted into a mosque in the 19th century, took the name Taş Cami. The structure was formed by combining the closed Greek cross and basilica plan. In the reliefs inside the structure, figures such as lions, bulls, eagles and griffons are given wide coverage. In addition, the walls of the interior and especially the apse are adorned with frescoes containing scenes taken from the Bible and depicting Jesus and Mary. The apse section of the church rises in the form of a tower. The structure is entered through a round-arched door in the middle of the long sides.
