Kentin batısında, Bulgaristan’a giden ana yolda Tunca Nehri'ne yapılmıştır. Bizans Dönemi'nde Mikhael Palaiologos yaptırmıştır. 1402'de Osmanlı Dönemi'nde Gazi Mihal Bey yeniden yapılırcasına onartmıştır. 1640'de Kemankeş Kara Mustafa Paşa'nın yaptırdığı sivri kemer biçiminde Tarih Köşkü (Kitaba Köşkü) vardır. Köprü gövdesinde sızan suların atılması amacıyla yapılan drenaj düzeni ilginçtir. 1900 yılında II. Abdülhamit tarafından İtalyan ustalara yeniden yaptırmıştır.
