Pers Kralı Dareios İskit seferine çıkışında (M.Ö.513-512) Parionlu’lar da onun yanında sefere katıldılar.Atina-Sparta savaşında da Atina’nın yanında yer aldılar, Amkibiades’in komutasındaki donanma M.Ö.410 da Parion’un limanında toplandı. Büyük İskender, Pers zaferinden sonra burasını kendisine bağlamış,onun ölümünden sonra da Trakya Kralı Lysimachos M.Ö.302 de Parion’u kendi yönetimine almıştır.M.Ö.241’de ise Bergama krallığına bağlanan kent Attalos’lar zamanında büyük bir imar faaliyeti görmüştür. Bergama Kralı III. Attalos’un varis bırakmadan ölümü üzerine Roma İmparatorluğuna bağlanmıştır.
