Halk arasında "Şehitlik" ve Zortul Kümbeti olarakta bilinen kümbet, Erciş-Patnos karayolunun güneyinde, Erciş merkezine 5 km mesafede bulunmaktadır. Kim tarafından, ne zaman yapıldığı ve kimim için yaptırıldığı tam olarak bilinmemektedir. Erciş Vanyolu üzerinde bulunan Kade Paşa Hatun Kümbeti ile aynı mimari özellikleri çağrıştırdığından, bu kümbetinde Kara Koyunlular tarafından 15. yüzyılda yaptırıldığı, 1420 tarihinde Tebriz yakınlarında Timuroğlu Şahruh ile karşılaşacağı zaman vefat eden ve cenazesi deve sırtında Erciş'e getirilen Kara Koyunlu hükümdarı Kara Yusuf Beg'e ait olabileceği düşünülmektedir.
