Gaziköy

It is 120 km from Tekirdağ province via Şarköy, 45 km from the coast, and 23 km from Şarköy. The neighborhood has 120 households and a population of 460. In addition to many historical ruins, there are also some notable works in Gaziköy. Churches, the Gaziköy fountain and Koca fountain inscriptions are among the remarkable historical works. In terms of settlement pattern, Gaziköy consists of three sections.

The houses located parallel to the sea, perpendicular to the Ganos mountains, and on the hill in between have a rare structure set within historical and unique natural beauties. In this village, where history gushes from all sides, it is possible to encounter the dusty pages of history beneath every patch of earth and stone you step on. This situation gives Gaziköy the title of “Capital of History”. So much so that the entire neighborhood is protected as an archaeological site. An old plane tree in the village square stands upright almost like a living witness to history. Gaziköy neighborhood leaves a mark on the mind with its unique nature, clean air and historical beauties.

While walking around the center of Gaziköy, you will come across local products such as sage, linden, rosehip jam, tarhana, and couscous in the shops. Many tradesmen in the Mısır Çarşısı buy their products from our neighborhood. If you like these products, you can buy them while you are there.
