The village’s old name was Sultanbahçe and it later took the name Bahçeköy. Fish are caught in the lake of the Laledere picnic area and in the lakes in the village to make a living, and there are also trout farms in the village. Those passing through the village should especially not forget to buy buffalo yogurt. It is also a region primarily preferred by mountain and nature hiking enthusiasts in Tekirdağ.
