Kilisenin bulunduğu Andaç köyü, eski bir Nasturi yerleşmesi olup, asıl adı Halmun’dur. Burası günümüzde Uludere’ye bağlı köy yerleşmesidir. Irak sınırına çok yakın Hakkari –Şırnak karayolunun 3 km içerisinde bulunmaktadır. Kilise köyün içerisinde düz bir araziye kurulmuştur. Kuzey ve güneyinde köy evleri yer almaktadır. Doğu-batı doğrultusunda dikdörtgen planlı, 16.11X21.80 m ölçülerinde tutulmuştur. İki aşamalı olarak inşa edilen kilisenin güneyindeki dört mekan, asıl kiliseye sonradan eklenmiştir.
