The museum building, which was used for a period as Ahmet Gazi Madrasa, was commissioned in 1375 by Ahmet Gazi Bey of the Menteşeoğulları, according to the construction inscription above its door.

Inside the tomb, it has not been determined to whom the second grave, imitating Ahmet Gazi’s grave, belongs.

The tomb opens onto the madrasa courtyard with a pointed arch containing Gothic lines. Of the two lion reliefs holding flags on the outer corners of this arch, Ahmet Gazi’s name is written on the flag held by the one on the right. Through the small arched door on the north, one passes from the tomb to the outside of the madrasa.

The facade of the madrasa, the east wall, six meters of the west wall from the facade onward, the inner walls facing the courtyard, as well as the corridors and the insides of the doors, are clad in cut küfeki stone.
The madrasa rooms, covered with a barrel vault, are dim and small. Each room has a fireplace and two or three cupboards. The roof of the rooms was covered with earth and turned into an ayazlık. This area is reached by the corridors and stairs on both sides.
At a date after the completion of the madrasa construction, a small arched fountain with two opposing lion reliefs was added adjoining the outer wall of the room to the east of the tomb. The square marble paving in the middle of the courtyard shows that there was once a şadırvan here.
