How to Get to Midyat Beyazsu?
There are two routes to go from Mardin to Beyazsu. The first is to go by choosing the Nusaybin road after touring the historic Mardin city center. After touring Mardin, respectively, Deyrulzafaran Monastery, one of the important tourism points located 4 kilometers to the southeast on the Nusaybin road route, is seen. After seeing this place, one returns to the Nusaybin road and continues via the Nusaybin road. After going approximately 20 kilometers on this route, turning off again from the Nusaybin route, Dara Ancient City, located 9 kilometers to the east, is seen. We can say this is the “Ephesus” of Mardin. It is an important ancient city waiting to be excavated and brought to light. After seeing this place as well, continuing from here, one reaches the Silk Road (the main road going as far as Habur) and goes toward Nusaybin. In Nusaybin, Zeynel Abidin Tomb and Mosque are visited, and the historic Mor Yakup Monastery, located right next to the mosque, is also seen. After seeing these places, one leaves Nusaybin, and if one proceeds north on the Midyat road, Beyazsu is reached after 25-30 kilometers. Naturally, those who want to go directly to the Beyazsu recreation area can go directly via the Nusaybin road and, when they arrive in Nusaybin, turn onto the Midyat road and reach Beyazsu without visiting the places listed.
As the second route, after touring Mardin, one goes to Midyat. After visiting Estel Museum, Culture House, State Guest House, Gelüşke Inn, and Silversmiths Bazaar in Midyat, one proceeds via the Nusaybin road and reaches Beyazsu after 15-20 km.
