1890 yılında Şatana ailesi tarafından Ermeni mimar Lole’ye yaptırılmış ve Mardin sivil mimarisinin en güzel örneklerinden biri olan yapı, Şehidiye Camii’nin karşısında zengin ve görkemli taş işçiliğiyle dikkati çeker. Bina 1950 yılından itibaren PTT binası olarak kullanılmıştır. Bugün bina Artuklu Üniversitesi'ne devredilmiş olup Turizm Uygulama Oteli olarak kullanılması düşünülmektedir.
