The plane tree, known as Battalgazi’s Plane Tree, is located 7 kilometers from Malatya in Orduzu Town, in Çarşıbaşı Neighborhood, Çınarçeşme Mevkii. Although the exact age of the old tree, which is approximately 15 m tall, is not known for certain, it has been observed that the tree, which has become hollow over time, has split from the main trunk into two branches. The branches have side shoots grown from the trunk shoot, measuring 8–10 meters in length.

The plane tree known as Battalgazi’nin Çınarı is located 7 kilometres from Malatya, in Orduzu Beldesi, in Çarşıbaşı Mahallesi, at Çınarçeşme Mevkii. The trunk thickness of the tree has been measured as 7.20 metres. Although the exact age of the old tree, which is approximately 15 m tall, is not known for certain, it has been observed that the tree, which has become hollow over time, has split from the main trunk into two branches. The branches have side branches 8–10 metres long that have grown from the trunk shoots. The trunk of the tree has decayed on the inside and large hollows have formed. The root part of the tree has been reinforced by building a stone wall. Water flows around the tree in the form of springs. The area where Battalgazi Çınarı is located is a place of visitation consisting of the plane tree and the spring next to it. According to legend, Battalgazi, who is believed to have lived in the 8th century, brought his animals here to water them; after watering them, he planted the plane-tree stick in his hand by the water, and today’s plane tree grew from that stick.
