Hadim Yerköprü Şelalesi

Yerköprü Waterfall is a famous waterfall located on the Göksu River in Hadim District of Konya, 110 kilometers from central Konya. Yer köprü Waterfall has a magnificent beauty that can enchant absolutely everyone with its unique natural beauty. June in particular is the most ideal month to visit this waterfall. In this month, especially when the magnificent riot of colors of the oleanders is joined by the flowers of many trees, the waterfall becomes a complete natural wonder.

Yer Köprü Waterfall, in terms of its formation, is on the old Göksu riverbed. The Göksu River plunges about 30 metres to the bottom here, and there is a natural bridge over the river. Although the area around this bridge-shaped place is surrounded by very high rocks (approximately300-400 m.), the bridge part is quite flat and, with its many plants, is almost like a garden. On this bridge, about 30 metres above the river, the waterfall is formed when the water emerging from the base of the rocks pours from above into the outlet of the tunnel where the river dives to the bottom. Therefore, the water forming the waterfall comes not from the river, but from the spring on this bridge. Therefore, since the water of the spring remains the same throughout the year, no damage comes to the vegetation on the bridge.

The waterfall also has a small power plant. The waterfall can be reached by various roads.

1st Route: Following the Konya - Hadim asphalt road, 121 kilometers after leaving Konya, 10 kilometers before Hadim, the Aladağ Village road branches off to the left. After proceeding about 29 kilometers on this road, the Bademli road junction is reached on the right. Turning onto the Bademli road and proceeding about 600 metres, Yerköprü is reached. The total distance to Konya by this road is 150 kilometers.

2nd Route: Following the Konya - Karaman road, 60 kilometers after leaving Konya, the Güneysınır District road branches off to the right. After entering this turn and proceeding about 11 kilometers, Elmasın Village is reached. From Güneysınır District, after 21 kilometers Kayaağzı Village is reached, and 10 kilometers from there Habiller Village is reached. After Habiller Village, the road splits into two. One of the roads goes toward Karaman, and the other goes toward Hadim. 14 kilometers after entering the road going toward Hadim, the Bademli Village road junction is reached on the left. If you turn left and proceed about 600 metres, Yerköprü is reached. The total distance of this road to Konya is 116 kilometers. It can be reached from Konya by private vehicle in 2.5 hours.

3rd Route: From Karaman, after passing Pınarbaşı Village, Kızılyaka Village and Alanözü Town from the bus station area, 14 kilometers after entering the road going toward Hadim at Habiller Village, the Bademli Village road junction is reached on the left. If you turn left and proceed about 600 metres, Yerköprü is reached. The total length from Karaman to Yerköprü is 72 kilometers.
