The city, understood to have been inhabited in the Roman Period, became an independent city due to its geographical and strategic importance. Later, it came under the protection of the Byzantine Empire and from time to time of Isauria. The remains belonging to the city’s church structure are located at the summit of the hill. Only the foundation traces of the church’s apse have survived. There is also a column shaft that has rolled down to the slopes.
