Manastır, Aknehir Beldesi sınırları içinde 479 metre yüksekliğindeki bir tepeye kurulmuştur. St. Simon Manastırı ve eklentileri kısmen kayalar üzerine oyulmuş ve kesme taşlardan yapılmış bir yapı olup, 132 metreye, 160 metre ebatlarında dikdörtgen biçimindeki bir alan üzerine yerleşmiştir.
