Keban Baraj Gölü 125 kilometre uzunluğunda 675 metrekare alanında 30,1 milyar metreküp hacminde ve 635 m3/sn günlük ortalama debisiyle Türkiye`nin en büyük suni göllerinden birisidir. Keban Barajı'nın yapımından sonra 64 bin hektar büyüklüğünde bir baraj gölü meydana gelmiştir. Oluşan gölün etrafında Elazığ ve çevre illerin halkının da faydalandığı eğlence ve mesire yerleri mevcuttur. Özellikle üzerinden üç ilçeye feribotla geçiş veren gölün iskelelerinde ve Elazığ-Bingöl karayolu üzerindeki sahilde çok sayıda balık lokantası hizmet vermektedir.
