In the mosque, which has a rectangular plan close to a square, its 19.50 meter diameter dome with squinches, resting on pointed arches over 8 wall piers, shows that the construction of large domes had begun to be experimented with in early Ottoman architecture. There is a last congregation area in the form of an arch recessed like an iwan in the middle and a small fluted dome at the entrance. The main entrance door within a large niche is rectangular in shape, formed of large marble jambs, and is decorated with curved springers at the upper corners. On the north, the gallery carried by 8 wooden columns curves inward on the axis of the mosque’s main entrance door. The mihrab niche is polygonal, and the niche semi-dome is stepped. Almost all of the body walls are rubble stone, while the eave moldings are chamfered plain moldings. Very few windows could be opened in the mosque’s massive architecture. The dome drum is higher on the exterior than normal dimensions. The minaret has a short cylindrical body on a square stone base. Although it has undergone repairs in various periods, the mosque is faithful to its original form.
