Efeler Forest is an ecosystem untouched by humans not only in Turkey but in almost all of Europe. Scientifically, the GEF-II project was implemented in the area. It has Biosphere Reserve Areas and is rich in terms of biodiversity. It is a gene conservation basin for the pure Caucasian honeybee race.
